The U.S. Department of Commerce recognized Gibraltar Arms on April 30. 2014 with an Export Achievement Certificate for improving international trade. The certificate is given to a small number of small- and medium-sized exporters that have successfully entered the international marketplace.

Gibraltar Arms was established in 2008 to export military and law enforcement products primarily manufactured in Idaho. Over the past years, Gibraltar Arms has been working with the U.S. Commercial Service to strengthen their export business.

With the help of a STEP grant received from the Idaho Department of Commerce, Gibraltar Arms attended the IDEX Conference hosted in the U.A.E. They subsequently secured partnerships with several international distributors from India, Kuwait, Argentina, Australia, New Zealand and Switzerland.

Gibraltar Arms continue to focus on exports from U.S. and has expanded sales for many of their customer companies. Gibraltar Arms used the STEP grant opportunity to grow into an export logistics company that works to navigate the complex rules and regulations of exporting.
